A commissioned artwork is a wonderful way to create something personal and unique for your home.

Perhaps you have a favourite landscape, a place that holds special memories, a dramatic coastline, countryside you love, or a photograph that inspires you. I work closely with each client to understand the starting point for their commission and the qualities they would like the finished artwork to hold.

 

Every painting is an original work of art, created individually through my own contemporary and intuitive painting process.

The Commission Process

1. Get in touch

Complete the commission enquiry form and tell me a little about your ideas. You may already know exactly what you would like, or you may simply have a starting point — both are absolutely fine.

2. We discuss your ideas

We can discuss the subject, inspiration, size, orientation, colour, atmosphere and where the artwork will be displayed.

3. Your commission is agreed

Before work begins, I will confirm the agreed details, including the proposed size, medium, price and estimated timescale.

4. I create your artwork

Your painting will develop through my own layered and intuitive creative process. Each artwork is individually made, and subtle variations in texture, colour and mark-making are an important part of creating an original piece.

5. Completion

Once the artwork is complete, I will arrange the final balance and collection or delivery.

Commission Prices

Commission prices start from £350.

Each commission is individually priced according to the size, format, materials and complexity of the artwork.

I will discuss your ideas with you and provide a clear quotation before any work begins.

What You Will Receive

Each commissioned artwork is an original piece created especially for you.

Your completed artwork will include:

• An original, one-of-a-kind painting by Karen Eames
• Artist signature and artwork details
• A signed Certificate of Authenticity
• Agreed collection or delivery arrangements
